I’m Kiah, the founder of Kida Digital — a Sydney-based Shopify specialist studio working specifically with small and startup Australian eCommerce businesses.

Before going out on my own, I spent years inside digital agencies managing multiple Shopify and eCommerce builds at once. At any given time, I was juggling 15+ projects, multiple stakeholders, and long feedback loops — and I started noticing the same patterns over and over again.

Good businesses were paying a lot of money, waiting a long time, and still ending up with sites that were harder to manage than they needed to be.

That disconnect is why Kida Digital exists.

Welcome, I'm Kiah

Most agencies aren’t inefficient because they’re bad at what they do — they’re inefficient because of how they’re structured.

Layers of account management. Multiple decision-makers. Too many projects running at once. Custom design where it doesn’t add value.

I wanted to work differently.

Today, I take on fewer projects, work closely with business owners, and focus on what actually impacts performance: structure, usability, and conversion — not unnecessary complexity.

Why I don't work like an agency

I’ve worked across a range of platforms, and Shopify consistently strikes the best balance for small to medium Australian eCommerce businesses.

It’s powerful when you need it to be, straightforward when you don’t, and—when built properly—it gives business owners control over their own stores without needing a developer for every update.

Most Shopify stores don’t fail because of the platform.
They fail because of poor setup, overbuilding, or decisions that prioritise design over function.

That’s where my work comes in.

Why Shopify? (specifically)

02 UX & theme customisation

01 BRAND DEVELOPMENT

04 ecommerce operations & support

03 marketing & Launch plan

I don’t see a website as a creative exercise or a digital brochure.

It’s an operational tool — one that should:

  • Be easy to manage
  • Support conversions
  • Scale with the business
  • Make sense to the person running it

That usually means professional theme customisation over custom design, clear UX decisions, and building stores that owners actually understand once the project is finished.
